Anjaana Anjaani: Don’t watch it, It’s an order!!!
Sajid Nadiawala along with Eros international brings to us the most boring, most pathetic, most painful love story ever. Thought it might have recovered its money before the release with a brilliant marketing strategy but it completely fails to win the audience. The film is so bad that I just don’t understand where to start from.
Set in New York, the film starts with 2 loosers, Kiara (Priyanka Chopra) and Aakash (Ranbir Kapoor) both trying to commit suicide on the same bridge at the same time. Aakash, a stock market professional gets bankrupt when the markets crash, leaving a loan of 12 million on his company. Kiara on the other hand gets cheated by her childhood love Kunal (Zayed Khan). A series of lame suicide attempts by the leads proves unsuccessful, which makes them believe they wait till the new year for suicide finale.
Watching “Anjaana Anjaani” is a painful experience, so bad that u might also consider giving your life away. Claimed as a romantic comedy, the film lacks both solely because of the uncertainty of almost everything. In the name of comedy it gives you a string of regressive jokes which are hard to laugh at. As far as the romance is concerned, it can be called as the most unromantic love story of all times.
The film has no script, and is weakly executed. Even the leads couldn’t do anything due to badly defined roles. Love story’s only work on treatment because it has nothing special to offer with the story, the makers of “Anjaana Anjaani” failed to understand this and only worked on the fancy locations and promotion strategies.
The only ace in the film is the music by duo Vishal – Shekhar which also you will hate at the end of such a terrible experience. The blame of this debacle goes on the director of the film (Siddharth Anand) who had got no clue what he was making. And to top it all it is 2 hours 32 minutes long making you kill yourself in the cinema hall.
I am going with a half out of five for Siddharth Anand’s “Anjaana Anjaani”, it’s predictable, boring and one of the worst films made this year.

Khichdi-The Movie movie review
Khichdi-The Movie: Fans are in for a tasty treat.
They are back, this time on the big screen. The famous Indian sit-com “Khichdi” which started in the early 2000’s is the first Indian sit-com to make it to the silver screen. I am a big Khichdi fan, so this review might be a bit biased. Frankly speaking, this film is only for Khichdi fans.
The story starts at a camp, the 2 smartest members of the Parekh family “Jacky” and “Chakki” tells a story of the dumbest family on the planet. Their story starts with the family doing their routine madness. Babuji (Anagh Desai) being treated disrespectfully by each and every member of the family, Jayshree’s (Nimisha Vakharia) never ending gossips. The pudding head, Hansa’s (Supriya Pathak) , the pillock, praful (Rajeev Mehta) and his lame explanations and finally Himanshu (Jamnadas Majethia) hansa’s brother, a caterer by profession equally stupid like all the other members of the family. The story revolves around himanshu’s dream of making his love story legendary. There is another equally absurd family in the neighborhood, the family of ‘parminders’. After getting rejected by a number of girls, one of the lady parminder from the parminder family finally agrees to tie a knot with Himanshu, just then himanshu realizes that his love story is simple and does not have any drama. The plot is basically what the Parekh family does to make it a great love story as per himanshu’s dream.
It’s a fun ride with all the typical khichdi jokes and the insanity, some are sure to throw you off your seat. Khichdi’s humour may be repetitive but it has achieved cult status as it created a new genre of humour. The patent dialogues and mannerisms of the Khichdi characters bring a lot of humour to the movie.
Aatish Kapadia, the writer and the director of the film, has done a terrific job. He knows his actors well and has produced excellent comic timing. The music is a sore point but I’m fine with it, I never expected good music.
The whole cast is splendid and they know what they are doing, though I missed Vandana Pathak (Jayshree in the serial). Fans just can’t miss this one, for others it may be an average experience.
It’s a 3.5/5 for Aatish kapadia’s “Khichdi”, go for it, it’s really tasty.
